We will embark on our Maras Moray Tour at 8:00 am. After picking you up from your hotel, we will leave from Cusco and head towards the enchanting town of Maras. As we journey through the breathtaking Sacred Valley, we’ll take in the spectacular views of the surrounding mountains, fertile fields, and the meandering Urubamba River.

Arriving in Maras at around 9:30 am, we’ll spend time exploring the town’s charming streets and discovering its local market. It is a treasure trove of colorful textiles, handmade ceramics, and regional delicacies.

After soaking in the atmosphere of Maras, we’ll make our way to the nearby Salt Mines at 10:30 am. We’ll marvel at the intricate network of terraced pools that have been used since pre-Inca times to extract salt from a natural spring.

Spanning over 13 square kilometers (5 square miles) and featuring more than 3,000 shallow pools, the Salt Mines of Maras showcase the ingenuity of the ancient irrigation system.

At 12:30 pm, we’ll leave Maras and venture towards the fascinating archaeological site of Moray. Upon arrival at 1:30 pm, we’ll delve into the history of the Inca civilization as we explore the ruins. It consists of a series of circular terraces that served as an agricultural laboratory for experimenting with crops and microclimates.

Having immersed ourselves in the captivating Inca ruins of Moray, we’ll head back to Cusco at 3:00 pm. The drive through the picturesque Sacred Valley will offer one last opportunity to savor the stunning landscapes that have accompanied us throughout our unforgettable day.

We’ll arrive back in Cusco at approximately 5:00 pm, bringing our Maras Moray Tour to a close with cherished memories of visiting Maras and Moray. We will leave you  with an even deeper appreciation for the rich history and culture of the region.
