Trekking Tours

Upon your arrival in Cusco, you will feel the stir of excitement. The Lares Trek to Machu Picchu is a journey that promises high altitude adventures and unforgettable vistas of the Peruvian Andes. You’ll start by exploring the Sacred Valley, a region steeped in history and natural beauty.

The trek itself will be challenging but rewarding. We will ascend to the highest point of the Lares Trail, an impressive 4,400 meters (14,435 feet) above sea level. Visitors can suffer from altitude sickness, so don’t worry, we will make sure to properly acclimate you before we start.

As we navigate the rugged terrain, the small towns scattered along the trail will provide a glimpse into local life. Each day will end with a night under the stars, comfortably equipped with your air mattress from the packing list.

Expect unpredictable weather on the Lares Trek. Rain ponchos will prove to be handy gear, ensuring we stay dry as we traverse the scenic landscapes. But the potential showers won’t dampen the thrill of hiking the Lares Trek.

Your adventure will conclude with the grand finale – a visit to Machu Picchu. You’ll board a train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway town to this world-renowned archaeological site. As we explore Machu Picchu, you’ll marvel at the ingenuity and skill of the Incan civilization.

Other options are Choquequirao Trek or Short Inca Trail. Each of them offer unique adventures, leading you deep into the heart of Peru’s striking wilderness. The Choquequirao Trek is an intense journey to the less-visited but equally mesmerizing Incan site. While the Short Inca Trail provides a condensed yet enriching experience, offering the classic Machu Picchu view in just two days.
